Have you ever read one of Jesus’ stories and thought, “That doesn’t seem fair”? You are not alone. In fact, that reaction can help us understand what Jesus meant. People often think about fairness in terms of what others deserve. If one person works longer, that person should receive more; if one child behaves well while another causes trouble, the well-behaved child should receive the greater reward; if someone does wrong, that person should face consequences.
