It is tiny. It’s easily overlooked, practically microscopic compared to the world around it. Yet, when planted in the right soil, it grows into something so substantial that it becomes a sanctuary. Growth takes time, consistency, and the right environment. You need a single seed of an idea, the willingness to plant it, and the patience to let it grow.
The most repeated phrase in Scripture is some variation of: “Do not be afraid.” Depending on which translation you use, it appears hundreds of times. Fear is a survival mechanism. It’s wired into our DNA to keep us from walking into traffic or petting a grizzly bear. But while physical fear keeps us alive, existential fear—worry over what we cannot control paralyzes us.
Some of the best seasons of our lives come right after the moments we thought there was no way through. A bit of unexpected grace steps in and clears a path we couldn’t see. If you’re in a season of waiting or looking at a dead end right now, take a second to remember the times before when a way was made for you out of nothing.
We live in a culture that treats busyness as a badge of honor and rest as something you have to earn. This is an invitation that doesn’t demand a prerequisite. It doesn’t ask you to finish your to-do list first. It simply acknowledges a fundamental human truth: we are tired, and we aren’t meant to carry it all alone.

There is a quiet trap in relying on our beliefs to define us: conviction requires zero effort. You cannot feed a neighbor with your belief in charity. You cannot comfort a friend with your philosophy on empathy. A stack of high ideals means very little if the person carrying them is unkind to the cashier, unreliable to their family, or defensive when challenged.
