Meta Settles Landmark Teen Social Media Addiction Trial

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, reached a landmark settlement this week in a closely watched federal bellwether trial involving allegations that its platforms contributed to social media addiction among children and teenagers. The agreement ends a major legal battle brought by four states acting on behalf of a larger, multi-state coalition.
