The readings for the Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time remind us that God’s wisdom and the gift of His kingdom are worth far more than anything the world can offer. In this week’s readings, King Solomon asks God for wisdom instead of riches. The psalmist praises the value of God’s law.
