These words from Elisabeth Elliot remind us that to be a person of faith is not to live a life of certainty, but to live a life of courageous seeking. As we look at our communities, our hearts are filled with difficult questions. Faith provides us with the feet to walk toward the suffering and a harbor where we can bring our grief. In the Gospel, we see Jesus constantly interrupted by people with questions. They didn’t come because their problems had vanished; they came because they knew where to take them.
