God gives us all gifts to be used to help others. I believe most people know what their gifts are as these come naturally to us. God gives us these gifts to fulfill a purpose that we were created for:

1 Peter 4: 10

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace”

How are we using the gifts that God has given us to serve others? Looking inward honestly, do you feel that you are fulfilling the purpose that God had created you for? This is a difficult and challenging question, and in many cases, it is us that are keeping ourselves from serving God in the way He had intended. I read an interesting meditation from Richard Rohr’s book “On the Threshold of Transformation”:

“Most of us think that blatant sins keep us from the journey, but very often it is good things that keep us from the better or best things – good things such as conformity and a comfortable job”

If you feel that you are not using your gifts in the way intended, bring this to prayer and be open to where the Spirit leads you.
